前幾天，一組“老外考中文聽力”的視頻火了。

　　視頻中，只是幾句簡單的中文，

　　竟把外國同學(xué)們逼得“生無可戀”!

　　網(wǎng)友們紛紛吐槽：仿佛看到了學(xué)英語的自己!

　　而對于很多初學(xué)者來說，

　　記不住單詞，

　　能看懂、聽懂，卻說不出，寫不出

　　都是常會遇到的問題，

　　那面對這些困難要如何應(yīng)對呢?

　　今天就讓我們《Living English》欄目的“安竹”老師

　　來解答大家的問題吧!

　　Andrew W. Jenkins 來自美國費城，曾就讀于Howard University 和 Temple University 。就讀期間他曾修習(xí)法語、文學(xué)、歌劇演唱等學(xué)科。2018年一月Andrew移居中國并就職于EF英孚教育。在此之前他在美國的高中任職法語與英語教師。業(yè)余時間，他喜歡閱讀、唱歌劇、專研《哈利波特》。

　　學(xué)英語記不住怎么辦，背單詞總忘，死記硬背過兩天就忘了。

　　Andrew：

　　試圖通過死記硬背來學(xué)習(xí)單詞真的很難。 這種方法有兩個問題。 首先，你可能正在從中文翻譯成英文。要真正掌握一門語言，你必須不是翻譯，而要專注于概念。 Trying to learn words by rote is really difficult. There are two things wrong with this approach. The first is that you are probably translating from Chinese to English. To really master a language, you must, instead of translating, focus on concepts.

　　舉個栗子，Cat這個單詞，不要想，貓=cat，而是想想貓和cat這兩個詞都意味著一種毛茸茸、咕嚕咕嚕叫的動物。然后當(dāng)你想象一只貓時，你會想到兩個詞，而不是一個你要翻譯成英語的中文詞。 到時候，你會毫無困難地用英語思考。

　　For example, instead of thinking, 貓 = cat, think of 貓 and cat both being words that mean a furry animal that purrs. Then when you picture a cat, you'll think of both words, not the Chinese word that you have to translate into English. In time, you'll be thinking in English with no trouble.

　　第二個問題是你沒有聯(lián)系上下文去理解。 如果你不去練習(xí)和使用他們，那天天查看單詞表也毫無意義。所以，嘗試學(xué)習(xí)可以在廚房或辦公室使用的單詞，看看是否有辦法在英語會話中實際使用它們。 記住語言的唯一方法就是使用它!這樣，很快你就會用好單詞，并且記住它們!

　　The second problem is that you are not learning things in context. Looking at a list of words is pointless if you don't have any way to practice and use them. Try learning words for use in a kitchen or office, and see if there's a way to actually use them in an English conversation. The only way to remember language is to use it! You'll be using words well, and remembering them, in no time!

　　感覺學(xué)習(xí)語言最難的是平衡輸入和輸出系統(tǒng)，很多東西可以聽懂、看懂，可是通過口語或者書面形式表達自己的想法特別困難。

　　Andrew：

　　提高英語口語和書面語的唯一方法就是說和寫! 熟的確能生巧! 找一個可以練習(xí)英語的人，即使他們不是一個強有力的演講者。通過與他人交談，即使他們的語言水平低于你，你的英語口語也會提高。

　　The only way to improve spoken and written English is to speak and write! Practice really does make perfect. Find someone who you can practice English with, even if they are not a strong speaker. By talking to others, your oral English will improve, even if they're on a lower level than you.

　　對于提升書面英語，請試著寫日記。 每天寫作會很有幫助。 當(dāng)然，盡可能多地獲得純正的英語輸入。

　　For your written English, try keeping a journal. Writing everyday will be helpful. And of course, keep getting authentic English input as often as possible.
